What is an RSS Feed

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML-based format for distributing content from Web sites. The South Georgian Bay - Lake Simcoe Source Water Protection ("SGB-LS SWP") offers an RSS feeds on this site. The SGB-LS SWP News feed have headlines, descriptions and links back to the SGB-LS SWP Web site for full stories.

You will find links to the feed on the left-hand side of the Home Page under the main menu.

You may access the feed by either clicking on the link and draging the feed link into your feed reader application, or if that doesn't work, right-click the feed icon, select "Copy Shortcut" or "Copy Link Location", and then use your feed reader's "subscribe" function with the link you copied.

If you are using a browser that features a built-in feed reader application (such as Mozilla Firefox), you may click on the RSS link and following directions presented on that page.

Usage Guidelines

You may syndicate any of our feeds on your site, provided the following conditions are met.

  • Full credit must be given to SGB-LS SWP, in conjunction with the feed's publication on your site, and
  • A link must be provided to the referenced article on this Web site and the title of the feed must be linked to the homepage of SGB-LS SWP: ourwatershed.ca
